Book Review-The Time Traveler's Wife

Weird..This book was not really what I expected. It took me a while to even be interested in the book, it was confusing and I was appalled at the authors choice of crude language. But I continued on reading. I actually became a little more interested in the book the more I read, but still I wasn't quite sure if I liked it or not..The book was a little sad to me, sad that Clare wasted most of her life waiting and wondering about Henry. Her childhood was ruined as well as her elderly life waiting for him..I didn't like the love affair between the past, present and future Clare's and Henry's..I thought the author could have done away with the crude language. All in all I guess after reading my own review I wasn't extremely impressed with the book, although it was very interesting..

I totally agree-I came to read your review to see if you could help me make sense of the book...my son recommended it-he loved it!

The narrative structure of this book is bizzare - to say the least - but it really worked for me. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm interested to see how they structured it. Congrats on finishing a Lit Flicks Challenge selection.

This book is on my TBR from the 2009 Library Challenge so once I read, I will comeback and give my thoughts. Your kids are beautiful!
